Question Awful 99% FPS ?

Hii I am using ASUS ROG STRIX 15 Laptop.
Specs. Ryzen 9 5900hx Rtx 3060 (130W)
Windows 11 latest drivers
Problem persists on both windows 10 and windows 11
Games are not performing well while FPS counts are 90+ but 99%fps are aweful, mere 40-55fps most games visibly lags. Fifa 21 With game pass lag so much

Did you have other things open at the time you ran the benchmark? It says there was very high (40%) of cpu background usage, this should be less than 10%. This could be a cause of problems if 40% of the cpu is being dedicated to other applications.

there was only google chrome running along with userbenchmark
I'll give it one more go and post it

Try it without but if still very high use Task Manager and look to see what is using so much of the cpu.

Looks like Chrome and a malware scan are using all cpu resources. If a malware scan is running then let it finish, also close Chrome and then try again.

I uninstall Chrome and stop malware scan
now results are better

I got no idea for that
thats why I completely uninstall it and relay on MS Edge

usual asus apps like armory crate, Myasus, Mcafee , geforce experience I don't know whats happening with my laptop this is just 2 month old. I had high expectations from this but now I feel like let down after spending $1500

7% background usage isn’t unusual. Windows is usually doing something. Do your games perform any better now you have freed up cpu resources?

Maybe you got some cores disabled for some reason?
Also try to uninstall that McAfee and asus apps, unless you really need them.
Chrome takes around 3% for my 5600X which is quite similar with your 5900HX in performance.
So i would've expected 5% load for you, but 55? Especially as you have only 300 MB RAM taken by Chrome at same time

do you think if I completly format entire hdd and install fresh windows 10 will help
It can remove any virus or malware which my antivirus unable to delete, if there is any....

one more thing how can I check my cores if all are working fine or not

There are some that can write in technical partition of HDD/SSD, you cannot read or touch normal way, but sure, you can reinstall Windows
But first try to go into BIOS and look if some cores are just plain disabled?

and how to check core if cores are disabled in BIOs I try to find but could not locate it, attached are photos of bios please explain

Hmmm... something like Advanced mode - Advanced - CPU - Advanced CPU settings - Downcore control and CCD control
Cannot help more, actually as it is notebook BIOS with not a lot of tools

well it is working fine now after uninstalling Chrome. Games are running fine at 140+ FPS in FIFA21 ultra with (90+ 99%FPS) and lag free gameplay​
