B/G Protection should I have it enabled?

I have this option on my Asus Ac88u. Should I enable or disable it? I have a variety of devices on my network.

That is a compatibility setting for old devices. So it depends on which network devices you want connected to that router. If they are too old (5+ years) and from the B/G era they may need that option enabled in order to properly connect to your router and stay connected without issues. You should also be aware that if you enable this setting it may decrease the overall through-output speed of your network or it may disable some newer network features. So you should disable it and only consider enabling it, if you have some older network devices that have connection issues with your router. Good luck.

I am having the 2.4 connection drop completely. Not old devices though, all devices.
