B0rked un-then-reinstall (PC, obviously)

I install Morrowind. Yay. Later, I get Tribunal installed. Fine.

However, after doing some Construction Set noodling, I get queries about
the age of morrowind.esm. So I run setup.exe again and select "Repair".

Then I get Bloodmoon. "You must have Morrowind installed." I am a little
confused about this, as Morrowind IS installed and running OK, despite
being repeatedly asked if I want to install it.

Well, if that's the way Bloodmoon wants it, fine! I run MW's setup.exe,
click Remove, then run Registry Repair Pro to slice away any remaining
keys...

Problem: MW's setup.exe will only Modify, Repair or Remove. It will NOT
install.

I've also removed Tribunal, and all folders relating to MW. No joy. MW will
not install automatically. Won't even try.

Can someone please explain what the hell is going on here, and how it can
be stopped?

Most game setups check the registry to know, whether it is already
installed or not...

....and you obviously messed with the registry - and I guess not just
once. I bet your problems are the result of your own actions, live with it.
Or just select "Remove" in the setup and hope it does remove the problem
keys. 😉
