Question B250M onboard sound or dedicated ASUS Xonar DGX 5.1 soundcard

Good evening,

I have a not very special MSI B250M motherboard and an Asus Xonar DCG 5.1 soundcard. Which sound should be better? The one from the motherboard or the one from my soundcard? Can't find a nice benchmark site where you can compare soundcards like you can do with CPUs and GPUs. Very interested in your opinions, thanks a lot.

Which B250M board from MSI do you have? To add, what is your audio equipment? Having an immaculate soundcard paired with a bad speaker setup or amp wont improve your audio experience.

I have normal 2.0 speakers, nothing special and a hyperx headset. Just wondering which audio chipset could give the best sound output in theory. So onboard or dedicated?
