B350 Mobo-BIOS update for 2nd gen Ryzen

Hello, so this might be stupid question but I wanna be sure! I just built my new pc, I have a b350 motherboard and a ryzen 5 2600 cpu. I told the guys from the store to update my mobo before they bring it to me so it can support my 2nd gen ryzen. Everything is okay but the bios version though is 1 year old, there is a new one on the manufacters website. If I update my bios it will still support my cpu right?

Yes, if you update your BIOS to support the 2nd gen Ryzen CPU you don't lose support for your current CPU.
