[SOLVED] B350 MSI Mate not booting with different Memory speeds

About a year ago a bought the B350 MSI Mate motherboard along with 1x 8GB HyperX Fury (2933 MHz) stick. Everything worked perfect until recently I bought another 8GB HyperX Fury stick, but this one has a speed of only 2666 MHz. When I try to boot up my PC, the red CPU light on the motherboard lights up, flashes a few times, and then goes away, but then the pc never boots up. When I remove either of the RAM sticks then all works perfect.

Would the different Memory Speeds cause this problem?

I think you should stick with the same ram speed.

Mixing ram is not ideal and can lead to issues like this. I suggest you buy a proper 2x8gb kit
