Hello, This is my situation: i am planning building my first budget gaming pc around mid july with the ryzen 3 2200g and play on the integrated graphics until i have enough to buy a gtx 1060 3gb but here are my question: i have a friend with an amd ryzen 1300x who could update the bios of a b350 motherboard but i know the b450 motherboards will soon be released.

Well since your building the system in mid July then there's really no reason to buy anything now, wait and see what's available when you buy and decide from there. By then the B450 could be out and price may be similar.

Ask this question again in about a week prior to ordering parts.

Since I understand that memory management is entirely handled by the CPU, and all interfaces are between memory and the CPU with Ryzen, I'm curious to know why chipset would affect compatibility. Maybe compatibility improvements in BIOS but I'd hope improvements here to also be reflected in B350 board BIOS updates.

I expect B350=>B450 to be very similar to how B370=>B470 goes: the only thing the chipset seems absolutely necessary for is to allow R2xxx CPU's to achieve Zen+ higher boost state / Precision Boost 2. But it will be nice if mobo makers step up their VRM game with B450 boards. Maybe we'll see some true 6 phase boards, or more/healthier heatsinking on the FETs, something sorely lacking in B350 almost universally.
