says here that 5 short beeps is a CPU error.
the beeps refer to specific issues and will lead you where to look, in this case something with the CPU.

another possibility is that the BIOS version installed on the motherboard does not support the CPU. possible but unlikely as there are only two versions of the BIOS, worth a look anyway.
