My motherboard is the MSI b450-a pro max and I'm wondering if I want to overclock my ram, do I turn on the XMP button on the top left, when i click it it ask me which profile 1 or 2 which do i choose
how do I have a look at what my ram is running atI have the non-"MAX" version of that motherboard. Profile one didn't seem to do anything for my 2x8GB DDR4-3200 RAM (still ran at 2133). Profile 2 picked up my RAM and ran it at it's advertised 3200Mhz.
Which profile you choose is probably dependent on the RAM you have installed. Just try them both to see if either causes you an issue.

mine says 2.4k so that means both sticks are 1.2k correctI use CPU-Z

Edit: Just remember that DDR stands for DOUBLE data rate. CPU-Z reports the base speed. For me, it reads 1599.6
