I switched my ram from 2x8 Vengeance LPX to the 2x16 lpx. It only turns on and there is a red (instead of white) kight near the ram sockets.
Tried different things in BIOS, to no avail. Also tried one 16gb stick at a time.

MB: ASUS ROG Strix B450-F GAMING, Socket-AM4
CPU: Ryzen 3900x
Ram: 2x16gb Corsair Vengeance LPX, cmk32gx4m2b3200c16 3900x

Solution
It only turns on and there is a red (instead of white) kight near the ram sockets.
This is where you state what that LED is demarcated as on the motherboard PCB. Is that ight on DRAM? Which slots are you populating with the sticks of ram? Also, did you try clearing the CMOS? Power down, disconnect from the wall and display, remove the CMOS battery, press and hold down the power button to drain any residual power and then replace the battery after 30 mins.

Tried different things in BIOS, to no avail.
Like what? You're not able to boot to OS GUI or you can't get POST? The LED lighting up would indicate inability to POST hence the error LED lit up.
