[SOLVED] B450 Mortar MAX GPU slot

Im upgrading my son's system and would like to know if a GPU, (RX 570) will work in the bottom PCI-E slot as I cant use the one above as I have a wifi card in the way.

you can plug in the wifi card in the second x16 slot (backward compatible) and use the first for the GPU

Yup, that's what I did,(i totally forgot this could be done.) but thanks for the reply anyway!

That's the best solution since the second PCIe is only wired for 4 lanes so is going to impact a GPU's performance. Just remain aware that if you put an NVMe in the second M.2 it will take its PCIe lanes away. I've got a B450 Mortar and that's just what happened to me...only so many lanes to go around with B450.
