B450 strix and ryzen 2700x

Im just wondering if the B450 strix will be able to handle the Ryzen 2700x

Yes. It can handle any of the Ryzen CPUs. As with any new build, I recommend you update the BIOS first thing.

i heard the vrams on the strix isnt that great and so im just concerned

AIO water can be hard on any VRMs. No air circulates near the CPU socket. If you are using the stock cooler or a good air cooler I wouldn't be as concerned.
