Question B450M-A II with 4 PIN CPU Connector

Hello,

i want to buy this motherboard to pair it with 5600G. But, i don't plan on changing the PSU. Issue that i have is that my PSU have only one 4 PIN Connector for CPU, but MB have 8 PIN.
Will it work if i put just 4 PIN ?

I don't know the exact brand and model, it's 500W, and it came with the old case i had.

It's fine. 4-pin connectors can support up to 144W, and the CPU you have will hover around a little over half that.

I read that some MB's won't even turn on when connected to 4 PIN, that's why I asked. Hopefully it will work.
