would a ryzen 7 5800x only be supported with the newest bios version F64a or will F61 also work

Hi SweftyKnife and Welcome to the Forum

If your system is performing OK then there is no need to update Bios as there is a risk however both would work.
F64a is the latest version for Ryzen 7 5800X3D to upgrade AGESA.
Check out F63 as that would be the best update for you. (support for Windows11)
