Greetings folks, I have an issue with my motherboard, I cannot enable the XMP profile for RAM that is 3600mhz, the system keeps in a boot loop and freezes.
B450m Steel legend
AMD Ryzen 5 3600 (Matisse)
A2 Slot
PNY Electronics 8192 MB (DDR4-2137) - XMP 2.0 - P/N: 8GBF1X08RHJJ40-135-K

B2 Slot
PNY Electronics 8192 MB (DDR4-2137) - XMP 2.0 - P/N: 8GBF1X08RHJJ40-135-K

With no tweaking, RAM runs at 2400mhz, XMP disabled. I correctly put the sticks in slots A2 and B2.
BIOS is up to date on 4.0 (latest on Asrock website compatible with Matisse).
I did the procedure of enable/disable XMP several times and never worked. Once it booted to windows but the frequency was the same 2400mhz (1199mhz at CPU Z).
It is a brand new PC.
I have read previous Solved posts but nothing posted in there resolved my issue.
Thanks for your time guys!

Solution
I finally got them to work. I tested both sticks with MemTest-HCi Design, one stick at a time in slot A2, at the XMP 3600 profile stock without any modification. They turned out OK. I added the second stick on slot B2 and it worked. I ran additional tests and so far so good. Config is stable.

What are your RAM timings?

Hi bmockeg, in the RAM sticker it says CL 18-20-20-40 and it is what the 3600mhz XMP profile says too.
Tcl 18
tRCDRD 20
tRCDWR 20
tRP 20
tRAS 40
anything else set to Auto
However 3600mhz XMP profile never gets a successful boot

CPU Z report says
DRAM freq 1199.7
FSBRAM 1:12
CAS CL 17
tRCD 17
tRP 17
tRAS 36
tRC 55
CR 1T

It worked at 3200 MHz (I only manually changed freq and infinity fabric to 3200 and 1600 respectively). I didn`t change the timings of the XMP for 3600mhz nor the voltage of 1.35
and in this case CPU Z says
DRAM freq 1599.6
FSBRAM 1:16
CAS CL 18
tRCD 20
tRP 20
tRAS 40
tRC 74
CR 1T

According to DRAM Calculator for Ryzen, these timings are not recommended for 3200mhz.
