hello i have a i5 4690 non k stock
8gb ram
gtx 960 overclocked but voltage is locked(stock)
msi b85m g43
so would a coolermaster b500 ver2 be enoguh for this system? the psu has about 38 amps on the 12vrail would it be enough for this psu without frying my pc? i also read it had some ocp protection

Yeah it'll be fine at stock. I believe the 960 consumes a wee bit less power than the 270.
It should be able to handle that build but as anyone here on Tom's will advise you, an upgrade of that PSU would be prudent. It doesn't use the lowest quality components but they aren't that far from the bottom of the barrel.

I would not recommend overclocking the 960 on that PSU at all.
