I seem to have heard of one B-52 model that did crash, and it was eerily
(sp) similar to a real B-52 that went down at a air show making a low pass
turn with the wing hitting the ground. Don't know how many of these are
around, but doubt if very many!!

This was the same one. There was a second piece of video out there in
cyberspace that showed it's demise along with some stills showing people
gathered around the crater it made on impact.

Did you notice the guy with the fire extinguisher during the preflight?
He's in the later pics as well.

There were no signs posted `please turn off electronic devices'
when the RC flight was in progress. Also no provisions to recover
from spurious or remote hard left rudder or aileron commands. :[

Yes it did crash. Not sure if it is the exact model, but one like it. :-(

the wing hitting the ground was not the cause, but the result of
rolling far too steep in the turn beyond the spoilers ability to bring
it back It fell through on edge.

Same model.

They did save one engine.
