[SOLVED] B550 ARGB confusion- Help select best motherboard

Hey guys

I plan to buy an Asus strix b550 F motherboard which unfortunately comes with only a single ARGb header. ( I wish to go with Asus as Icue is now compatible )

Else I was keen on Gigabyte Aorus but its not compatible with Icue.

I already have a Coolermaster argb controller https://www.coolermaster.com/catalog/coolers/rgb-accessories/argb-led-controller/ which has 4 argb ports. And I will be using something like 5 argb fans, 2 led strips altogether which could be controlled individually.

If I connect different components to these 4 ports (fans, led strips etc.) will I be able to apply individual/different settings/colors to each of these connected devices through iCue or Asus Aura software?

I'm not interested in using Coolermasters software as its not that great for rgb configuration.

Kindly clear my doubts and suggest accordingly. Aorus argb tools is the most crap thing else their mobos are best bang for buck.

Also, can someone try iCue on Gigabyte mobos and respond here?

Solution
i doubt iCUE will be able to read devices connected via the Cooler Master hub.
usually the Corsair nodes are connected via USB 2.0 for basic communication with the iCUE software.

if you're planning on using Corsair fans get a kit with an included node core or Commander hub.
they should have an aRGB out option for switching from Corsair controlled LEDs to motherboard software controlled.

then you could do the same with the Cooler Master hub;
have your additional devices connected there with it's aRGB out also going to a motherboard header.

this should allow you to set an overall LED theme between all devices.
but either way you will need a better motherboard that offers more aRGB headers.
