[SOLVED] B550 Gaming Plus question

So, this is going to make me look extremely dumb to some of you. But I want to get it over with to save me from being paranoid. I have a Msi MPG B550 Gaming Plus motherboard, and my ryzen 5600x is coming in this monday. And I'm trying to get to know my motherboard a bit well so I dont mess up the CPU installation. The only real question is, what are the 2 little black bracket looking things above and below the cpu socket. Are these cpu cooler brackets that maybe mount the stock cooler? Or no.

Some coolers use it, like the Galahad AIO (my mistake earlier, the ryzen box cooler doesn't use it) . Some (like my hyper 212 rgb) don't, they use the mount and backplate that comes with the cooler.

The stock cooler does however use the backplate behind the motherboard that those bracket thingies are attached to. The bracket thingies themselves need to be unscrewed, but please retain them in case you use a Cooler in the future that uses those clamps.

My mistake - I remembered using it, but it was in fact the backplate only not the clamps. I retract my statement from earlier. Thanks for the correction tho.
