Solution
X570 offers pci-e 4.0 connection from cpu to chipset and more pci-e lanes for board makers to add features to the board. They also tend to offer more usb 3.1 and 3.2 ports compared to B550 boards.

B550 offers a pci-e 3.0 connection from cpu to chipset but has the advantage of using slightly less power and doesn't need active cooling on the chipset unlike x570.

I own both boards and can tell you there's little real world difference between the two in every day use like gaming. Given that AM5 will be out in the next year or so I would grab a mid level B550 board and put any left over money into a 5600x cpu or more storage.

If you plan on keeping the system long term then X570 may offer more value to you due to the add features like...
The question is: what features do you want with an x570 or b550 motherboard that you're not getting with your current motherboard? Without knowing why you wish to upgrade from one AM4 motherboard to another, there's not much specific advice to give.

FOR MORE INSIGHT I HAVE RYZEN 3600 AND A 2080 RN, I HAVE ALL STORAGE FULL AND ONE M.2 I CANNOT ADD ANOTHER AS IT WILL TAKE OUT STORAGE SLOTS, I CANT OVERCLOCK MY RAM FOR THE CPU (oops caps sorry) id like a more sturdy and atleast mid range vi suppose, but obviously at the same time im holding onto what the the new chipset will offer but i belive b550 wont support that? i havent kept upto date what so ever
