The VRM's on both are effectively the same, and perform really well compared to other 500 series motherboards:

Looking at the specs for the two motherboards, it actually looks like the newer B550 has more features than the X570 board. The VRM is the same so both will handle the cpu (and a bit of overclocking) just fine - whilst the B550 actually has more ports + heat spreaders for both M2 slots, so I think the B550 is the one to get.
