Hi everyone, i want to upgrade my current motherboard for a more recent one and this one is the best i could find to suit my needs B550M PG RIPTIDE which are:

Usb 3.2 gen 2 type A and C (to connect my huion tablet)
PCIE 4.0 (for my video card)

The thing is ive seen some videos from 1 to 2 years ago showing that b550 and ryzen 3 3200g dont go well together, is it solved now?

Current motherboard Asrock b450m pro 4f
Ryzen 3 3200g
Crucial ballistix 8gb x2 2666mhz (BL8G26C16U4B.8FD)
RX 6600 eagle

Are there other options around my budget? (170$)

Thanx!!!

Ryzen 3 3200g doesn't support PCIe 4.0, it only does PCIe 3.0 8x, not 16x, so that is a pointless upgrade without a new CPU. Though the RX6600 is also an 8x only card.

You should save your money and replace the CPU/Motherboard/RAM with something like a Ryzen 7600.

As a stop gap, consider getting a PCIe 1x 4x USB Type-C card.

Thanks man, is there some kind of compatibility I have to check before buying one of these cards?
