Whenever I disable CSM to enable secure boot, BIOS is no longer accessible or displayed. Doesn't work through windows advanced startup either since it displays black screen. I've tested it both on a GTX 1060 and RTX 3070. By default, the BIOS sets CSM to enabled. My drives partition are GPT and im using the latest BIOS too. Only way for me to access BIOS is by reflashing the BIOS using Q-flash at the back of the motherboard. Is there anyway I can have CSM disabled + secure boot enabled and still be able to access/see BIOS?

tldr; disabled CSM, enabled secure boot. System skips BIOS splash screen + BIOS inaccessible. Boots straight away into windows.

System Specs:
Gigabyte B550M AORUS PRO-P
Ryzen 5 5600
GTX 1060 6GB
DDR4 8x2 3600 mHz
Windows 11

On my TUF B550m Gaming Plus I frequently have to shut completely down and then restart to enter BIOS by hitting DEL key.

Several ways to go into BIOS from within the OS:
Both of the methods do not work for me. Upon starting the computer, instead of the usual BIOS splash screen, nothing happens and then it instantly boots to windows. Pressing DEL would make it stuck in black screen (im guessing BIOS is accessed/loaded but no display output?)

The second method listed is using windows advanced startup. Same outcome, black screen

Note: Everything works fine if CSM is enabled (i would have to use q-flash to reset the BIOS though)

Another thing to try: look for a POST delay, BOOT LOGO delay and Fast Startup settings in BIOS (once you get in there). Increase the delays and disable Fast Startup to give more time for you to see the screen and hit the DEL key. Also works is to just start spamming the DEL key right after you hear the single BEEP indicator that it passed POST.

A couple ways to force into BIOS without having to update BIOS (unnecessarily risky, IMO) is to reset CMOS or disconnect the system drive.

Sounds like you somehow either have your computer set to bypass the POST test, or it's set to go really fast.

I broke out your manual, here is a couple of things for you to look at. Both are in the boot section of the bios setup. I listed them in the order of likelyhood.

Fast Boot: Check and see if it's set to fast or ultra fast, and set it to disabled if that is so.

Full screen logo show: Check to see if it's enabled.

Let me know what you find.
