Question B550M-HDV won't boot from SSD

I just got a B550m-hdv from as rock. I'm running 8gb ram and an old Samsung 850 evo and a Ryzen 5 3400G.

The system POSTs just fine, I update the BIOS, but it won't boot my old install of Windows. I plugged into every SATA port, tried I higher wattage power supply, I even plugged the SSD into my Ryzen 3 with a Gigabyte a520i ac and it booted just fine, just not in the ASRock set up. I'm open to suggestions.

You will need to reinstall the OS, that's what you actually need to do when you migrate to a new platform since the drivers for the old platform will not work with the new platform.

Yes, and with Windows 10 that's not always necessary. As I mentioned, it worked just fine in a similar ryzen 3 3200g machine. Reinstalling isn't an option on this one. I'm just looking for options to try since a reinstall is not an option
