I have a Ryzen 7950X and the RAM is Vengeance 6000mhz 30cl. What do you think?depends on the cpu as well. which one are you using?
which RAM do you wanna get exactly?
6000 should work, 5200MHz will work.
more is not always better, if the timings are really bad
I took a look at the list and i dont really see any names but i saw a bunch of 6000 speeds? I currently have a 6000mhz installed and it works but I did have some issues before and sometimes during restarts it gets stuck on dram light on my mobo, is that an indication?might work, you will have to try yourself
it´s not in the list, but usually should work. if not, it should work with 5200MHz

Yeah the pc couldn't even boot before i did a flash bios update, mobo kept red lights on cpu (but cpu isnt the issue obv) so it's probably the ram. How do i run a memtest?that´s an indication.
did you install the latest bios version ?
run a memtest
yeah exactly i have F33a
What ram should i get in that case, and what do you mean with higher timings? What ram would you recommend for 7950x, i need at least 64gb since i do video editingthen you can eventually give the RAM back to the shop and get some which are officially supported, or you test some other values in the BIOS, if it can run 5800MHz or 6000MHz with higher timings
Isn't 6000mhz too fast?, also i just got on my pc and it's lagging like crazy.. just moving my cursor feels like 5fps and my applications are all laggy too. It goes normal after 30 sec or so and then it comes back as soon as i do something or start an application.. Could this be ram as well? I have a video but don't know how to send it here. Just opened youtube and my screen went black and computer restarted, and now everything is smooth, got an nvidia notification saying crash report bug etc.e.g.

higher timings: instead of cl30 -> cl40, then reducing time to check which is stable
but if i switch it out for say the g.skill that is 6000mhz but supported in the mobo website, no tuning is needed correct? Ill send the link in a minute, it said nvidia crash but i doubt its my gpu that is faulty? I ran furmark yesterday for about 20 minutes and everything looked good.if you wanna use the max. frequency on this system, you will have to "fine tune" it or let the RAM run @5200MHz, eventually 4800MHz.
could be RAM, could also be CPU or SSD
upload to imgur or similar and post the link in here
View: https://imgur.com/a/YwqUTDEmost likely no tuning is necessary.
I got studio drivers because apparently they are optimized for editing, its up to date as well. PSU is an RM850E i bought it used however it had only been used for like 3 months prior to buying it. My gpu is a EVGA 3080 FTW3 Ultra LHR which is also used but i ran a few benchmarks such as furmark and everything looked good. As of typing this right now i haven't had any issues besides when i intially booted and my pc restarted after a black screen.which PSU are you using?
Which GPU is it?
nvidia drivers up to date?
Yeah so it only happens on the first boot after the pc is shut off for a few hours. I booted today same thing happened but i just clicked restart and then it worked just fine. To check the socket i assume i have to take off the cooler and cpu? and pcie slot i'd have to take off the whole motherboard? Which ones are the standard drivers? I got my studio drivers from that website.check the socket of the CPU on the motherboard for bent or discolored pins
check the PCIe slot, if it has damages at the solder joints on the back of the motherboard and the slot itself
happens quite a lot while removing cards
test with the standard nvidia.com drivers
most likely it´s hardware related, if the normal nvidia driver is acting the same way after installing it and rebooting windows
I see, the motherboard was brand new. It's a b650 aorus elite ax v2, if i take it all off do i have to clean the cpu and repaste thermal paste? Hopefully not since i ran out of thermal paste and i pasted it like 4 days ago haha. Little update, i did the drivers download and this popped up View: https://imgur.com/a/sZJFB8dyes, to check you would have to remove the CPU and motherboard from the case

Turned out to be hyperx ngenuity interferring with the net framework thingy, i uninstalled it and did DDU and reinstalled the drivers, now i dont get that error anymore. I'm also swapping out the ram for one of those g.skill ones you recommended to swap out for my corsair ones. So we'll see if this issue persists.sorry, thought it was used as well. Then it should be fine, if you installed all correctly.
did you uninstall drivers before trying to install?
try ddu uninstaller, then reboot and install drivers again
