If I want to buy 12th gen cpu and I know if you want 12th gen Intel you need one of those two mobos but where I am from z690 is insanely expensive than z590 so that made me consider buying 11th gen but ppl adviced me to still buy 12th gen. So what is the difference between b660 and z690? I mean from all perspectives(heat managing, speed, working under load.. Etc). I mean what would I be missing if I get b660 rather than z690? I have tried to read comparsions but still don't know what to do.

z690 offers Overclocking (only for K cpus), double the pci-e lanes for storage (both on gen3 and gen4) and more usb ports. As a rule of thumb, if you don't get a K cpu, don't bother with z690 unless their price overlap (some b660 are pricey too)

OK ty one more question if I don't do overclocking manually(I just don't bother it) does cpu overclocks automatically to turbo speed when there is an overload?
P.S sorry if it is a stupid question I am just not good at these stuff
