Hey there.

That's a tough choice. Both are fairly close, with the 12400f winning by a few % fps most of the time. Neither would be a bad choice strictly speaking. The B660 is good for another gen CPU, whereas the B450 is end of line, so only current gen available. With the 3070 as GPU, you won't really see any difference in FPS.

Both solid 1080p/1440p CPU's that push most higher end GPU's very well.

Neither combo is very good, on the motherboard side. That B660 doesn't have a very good power delivery system, (VRM's get toasty) and the B450 lacks PCI-E gen 4. For B660, you would be better off with something like an MSI PRO B660-A DDR4. Ironically, the Gigabyte B550 DS3H isn't a terrible board, for a 5600x, but I would spend a bit more and get something like the Gigabyte B550M AORUS PRO-P.

Yea, I meant the one with the M. That B550 board, with the 5600x is a good combo. If it is available to you, and cheaper, you can get the non x 5600.

RGB fusion is ok, but it has it's issues. In my case, it doesn't always like to control the RGB, on my crucial ram. I had to download a utility from crucial, and run it first. After that it seemed ok.
i saw people recommending openrgb, signalrgb do you have any idea about those if fusion doesnt work can i make it work with those programs bc i wanna control my rgbs
