News B660 Motherboards for Alder Lake Non-K Overclocking Tipped for July

I'll ask this as I'm not entirely sure, but didn't BClk overclock have issues with PCIe devices and USB?

Why can't Intel just make them unlocked already instead? Also, I wonder what is Intel's stance? "Don't ask don't tell"? XD

Still, the gains shown by der8auer and HBU are quite impressive; to the point where Z690 may become a bit irrelevant for gamers.

Regards.

Intel is clearly not happy and will address this loophole in future BIOS updates potentially or simply void the warranty of the products.

I heard from someone referring der8auer that using external clock gen will only affect the CPU and RAM thus avoiding Pcie and USB issues while running high BCLK.

Ah, I see; that makes sense. Thanks for clarifying the BClk point.

As for your first point. I don't think Intel can get rid of this via microcode and they already void the warranty if you OC anything (including XMP; yes, it is that stupid).
