Is it possible to retrieve my music off of my mp3 player after it was dunked in water and completely dried? The player no longer starts.
Player Info: Sony Video Walkman (nwz-e464) 8gig
The device is (pardon the expression) hosed. It might be possible for a data recovery shop to pull the memory chip and get data off it, but that would be crazy expensive. Did you have anything on it where that was your sole, irreplaceable copy?

Are you positive you removed all the moisture on the inside? If you have silica gel packets those are great at removing moisture, used a food dehydrator on my gfs iphone which worked great too. Is it recognized if hooked to a pc?
