Back Microphone Jack issue(the plug wont go all the way in)

Hi my front microphone jack doesnt work and in the back one it doesnt go all the way in i was wondering if you guys could advise me about this if there's suppose to be like some copper stuff or something in it like how the old stereos whose aux cord port had some stuff which you had to melt your way through or something sorry for the unproffesional explanation i cant properly remeber that because that happend when i was a kid.Please i really need some help on this

No you don't need to melt anything. Check your case front panel connections to the motherboard audio headers, for the issue with the rear jack, it's probably broke, something jammed in there most likely. Did you make sure the issue is not with the mic you are using, does it work OK on other systems?
