Just got a new pc and the back ports are not usable as the io plate covers them enough that I cant use them.

Any ideas for me to try fix this?

I gather this was a pre built PC?

It sounds like the builder either installed the IO shield incorrectly, or didn't install the IO shield supplied with the motherboard (most cases come with a standard IO shield however typically this should be removed and replaced with the specific IO shield supplied with the motherboard).

In either instance the solution is the same - unscrew the motherboard (if there is sufficient room in the case there shouldn't be a need to remove it entirely), slide it to one side then remove the IO shield entirely. That is if you want to fix it yourself - if the machine is covered by any kind of warrantee then you might be better contacting the seller and arranging for them to sort it out.

Pictures, please.

Possible that they did not use the standoffs with the motherboard.
Do NOT turn it on until this is verified and fixed.

Where did you buy this from?
So I have already turned it on and it works perfect as it's just the top 4 usb slots that are out of line.

And I got this from pc specialist
I will attempt to attach a picture
