So i got a kind of ''big budget'' to build a gaming rig again.

What i had in mind is the Asus Rampage V Extreme X99 , 32gb or 64gb of DDR4 ram , 980ti SLI Superclocked and Intel Core I7 5960x skt 2011 along with the kraken x61 cooler.

This is the best current build for gaming and editing , right ?

Also should i get a 27'' 4k 144hz monitor or a 34'' lg 30hz monitor ?

Thanks

There is no 4k 144hz yet, max is 60 hz for 4K gaming but they do make 1440P 144 hz with and without g sync at 27" and they make 34" 1440P monitors with 75 hz refresh and there is an acer 100hz ips 34" 3440x1440 monitor with g sync coming out soon...that's the one to get.

I was thinking the exact same thing which is why i asked if he meant to put 144 hz 4k.

Other than that, it really comes down to personal preference.

My preference: 144hz>everything lol

Yeah man, i cant blame you at all.

I would also love to physically see 4k or even 1440p in person just one time myself

I just want 144hz myself cause i like higher framerate versus higher pixel density.

Hell most of the time i like to turn my settings down on my gtx 970 to get it to stable 120 fps
