Backgrounds changed in Win 10?

So Windows 10 is pretty good, pretty cool. Fixes a lot of issues that 8 had. However, somewhere in that, they managed to get rid of some features that were even in 7. One of these features, is all the stuff you could do with personalization. In particular for me, the backgrounds. When you right click, and click "personalization", you get the flat touch-esque settings panel. But you can still get to themes. Now from what I remember, the themes (aka, personalization window) is supposed to look like this:

but now, it looks like this:

Code:
As you can see, the entire bottom part is gone. I would like to change and choose which photos to use and shuffle them, but it seems they've gotten rid of that aspect. Anyone know something I don't?

Solution
I honestly don't know what it is your on about. You go in to the settings I told you and thats where you find the options for changing your background. One of those options is to choose between a slideshow (what your asking for), a solid background or a single picture. You then browse to the directory where your images are stored at and select that folder. Just preselect the images you want, dump them in a folder and bam your done.

... You're ignoring what I'm asking. I want to select multiple pictures, and have it go through them, shuffled. This used to be simple and easy. Now, there is no selection, and there is no shuffle. (to what I can see)

First of all. Why do I need to put the pictures I want in a specific folder? There was a perfectly viable option before. A list and checkboxes. Also, I want the pictures to shuffle. Every time I turn on my computer I see the same picture over and over, and see the same ones after that.

when I right clicked on the desktop tochoose the background, I clicked oneach one to see what it looked like, then I went back to the one I wanted, and clicked on it.The backgrounds turned into a slide show.
I went to settings and picked the one I wanted and the slideshow stopped.go figure.

I don't know why this is marked as solved, as I clearly already stated that the person did not solve my question. I still want to know how to select specific pictures, and shuffle them, as I was able to do in Windows 7 and 8.

I don't know if you have windows 10 Home, or professional. I have the Home edition on this pc.
I click on the window in lower left corner, select Settings, then select personalization and click with left button of the mouse. There you can select the desktop background you want, and I believe there are more settings. thereis a separate group of settings for the display, ie, colors and the lettering.
I am sorry I don't know who marked your posting as solved.

Okay, so how do you shuffle?

Settings, Personalization, Background and where it says "Picture" click and choose "Slide Show". It gives you various options for the slide show. I think this is as close to shuffle as you're going to get.

WOW how is no one getting what OP is asking? There is no shuffle option on the slideshow scene. we can make a slide show. this is NOT that issue... How do I get the slide show to shuffle the odder of the pics. win95 all the way to win 8 had a shuffle option. why MS needed to move things is beyond me. anyways PLEASE if anyone knows how to shuffle answer. I don't need to know how to make a slide show

I would suggest that you ask Cortana, or ask Microsoft. it may be that they did not include the shuffle option in windows 10.

OP I must apologize. it was I who chose the best answer. I got your earlier message and thought itw as me being asked to choose the best answer.
but I would agree with the chosen best option.
you can ask Cortana or Microsoft if the shuffle option is active in windows, 10, and if so ,how do you access it.
As the old saying goes, you can please some of the people some of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can't please everyone all of the time
There are some features of windows 10 that were removed from IE and the new Edge, but I have adapted to them.
You can always go back to what ever windows you had before this.
