[SOLVED] Backing Up All Files?

I am wondering if I copy everything in "All my Files" will I indeed be copying all of my files I've ever downloaded/put on my mac?

Just making sure I don't lose anything when I format this MacBook

Use Time Machine. It is far better than simply copying files, and the installation program will let you restore from a Time Machine backup.
