Backing up windows 10

Hp omen desktop I just purchased. I was checking out how to back up and inadvertently backed up to internal hard drive. What is the best backup to use externally??
What can I do to remove partition created by windows backup on my computer?? Nothing on hard drive yet but this partition.

I use Macrium Reflect free https://www.macrium.com/reflectfree to backup whole system disk to anther one, Works good, easy to use and free is good enough for that.
