the bleeding in question is only minor but i was just wondering if i should send it back to get a replacement or just live with it, it only really distracts me in things like horror games and surprisingly little in movies.

Well, if a bit of back light bleeding is the only issue, I would consider it pretty reasonable. If you want to rummage through monitors, go to a brick and mortar store and insist they open all their packages for you until you are satisfied. Is back light bleeding even covered by your warranty? How much in shipping are you willing to spend on your non-high end gaming monitor? You could end up with a screen that has diffuser dark spots or bad pixels, which may also fall outside of warranty and stick you with a worse screen experience.

my friend just says to live with it as there is not much point in cycling through monitors for like a month to find the perfect one, nothing is perfect.
