Backlight ?

Can anyone offer advice? I have a Gateway EV700 Monitor and any pictures or DVD's shown on it are Way TOO DARK. Would you recommend replacing the Backlight and if I do, should the problem be resolved?

Next crazy question(s): Is it difficult to replace the Backlight?
Is it worth it to do so?
Is it better to just get a new monitor?

That's a CRT. It doesn't have a backlight, and there's really nothing you can do to brighten it yourself.

I'd just get a new monitor.
