backlit keyboard not working

I bought a Asus q551l model laptop and so far I love it... the only thing is that I can't get the backlit keyboard to work. I have tried all the fn keys, and have spent quite a bit of time looking on the web and so far no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Hi,

Based from the keyboard layout of the laptop fn+F3 lowers the keyboard backlight and fn+F4 makes it brighter.
