Hi,
Im trying to to install my new Hyper 212 evo cooler, but my Backplate is stuck on my msi a78 m e35 Motherboard, even after removing the screws. I have read its because there is glue that holds it to the motherboard, and that I can use a hairdryer to try and melt it. I have been using it in short bursts at low heat, but nothing is really giving.
Is it dangerous to continue with the hairdryer if it doesn't seem like it's coming off? Will it hurt my motherboard to use a little more force than just a tug to pull it off? When do I know I'm ready to try to pull? Also does it take a lot of heat to damage my motherboard and so I can use my hairdryer a bit more intesely?
