backspace key only deletes one letter at a time

I used to be able to hold down the back space key and it would delete the whole sentence now I have to hit backspace for every

Take a look under Start > type access in the search box > clickease of access center

Under Explore all settings, click Make the keyboard easier to use

Look under Make it easier to type > uncheck box for Turn on filter keys
