Backup and restore troubles

i have windows 10, but when i go to backup setting it has windows 7 in ( ) , first question, does that matter, also how do i restore backed up data from an external hard drive, and will it be the same as the originol?

Hi, the "Backup and Restore (Windows 7)" version was created in Windows 7, but still exists and works in Windows 10. They may eventually remove it (who knows) but you can still use it to backup and restore your system.

If you've made a full system image, then the restored files will be exactly like they were when you created the backup.
