Hello, im having this problem, I bought new hdd just now and so I decided to backup my primary hdd to the new faster hdd, ok I`m doing this, but now im wondering, if I unplug primary ( C: ) disk, and I previously did backup, will I be able to run and use all my files and folder, programs, antiviruses what have you, normally? If you didn't understand, im trying to "MOVE EVERYTHING" from my ( C: ) drive to ( E : ) drive, can you help me move? Is the thing that i`m trying to do possible?

Cloning means making a target HD the exact same copy of a source HD; the process copies everything from the source onto the target. When you mentioned backup, I think you were asking about full imaging. If yes, a full image can be made of the entire source HD, then restored onto a target HD, that target HD is now exactly as the source HD. If the source HD is smaller than the target HD, and if you get a little un-allocated partition, that can be fixed - that can be a separate thread for another time.

Lesanne:
Do yourself a favor and undertake a Google search on "cloning the contents of one drive to another drive". You'll find a great deal of informative material on this subject which will hopefully provide you with an understanding of the process and how to successfully clone the contents of one drive to another drive.

In short, yes, you can clone the source HD, your "C", right onto your target HD, your "E".
Again yes, if you made a full image of the source HD, your "C", you should be able to restore that full image right onto your target HD, your "E".
The third yes, once you have removed "C", your "E", containing the OS and I guess all the Data too, should boot, load Windows, everything should work just fine.
