Hello,
I was wondering if there is backup utility that can makes copy of the file on your hard drive and can do it fast.
I have seen many backup utilities that will backup your files, but creates a compressed copy which cannot be access unless it is restored. It's not ideal because the files that were backed up cannot be viewed on another computer. For me, it's pretty useless.
I know that SyncToy will backup files that can be accessed without restoration, but it's slow. It systematically checks every single file and folder that needs to be backed up to see what has changed and what needs to be transfered. If there is many folders and files, it can take hours. Also, it does not have built in schedule feature.
So, is there a backup utility that works like SyncToy but is faster? It would be great if the utility can perform comparison checks between original and backup folder and perform backups when the computer is idle. Also, it'd probably be more logical if the utility kept track of the changes that happen in the folders that need to be backed up. That way, I think, it would be more efficient.
If you know of such utility, please share! Thank you =)
