[SOLVED] Backup Windows 10

Hi everybody, i have a pc with windows 10 installed on it, ina few days i'm going to change the motherboard, the cpu, the graphic card and some other components, i have windows 10 installed on a ssd, if i change all these components and reinstal them what should i do? Windows will start as usual or i have to do a back up or something?

You will likely have to do a whole OS reinstall.

Changing the motherboard, there are 3 possible outcomes:

1. It boots up just fine
2. It fails completely
3. It boots up, but you're chasing issues for weeks/months.

I've seen all 3.

A clean install is strongly recommended, usually required.

Backup your personal docs to some other drive.

What are all the parts here, both old and new?


Now, for the OS licensing.
Where did this Win 10 license come from? You may be able to transfer the license tot he new hardware. Key word...'may'.
