Bad Bios Checksum- "~.ROM" file not found even if it's there.

Hello lads! (mobo model at end)
I've upgraded to a high end-gaming pc since one-ish year and the old rig was in my garage(kept it in good condition).
My dad recently asked me if i could set him up with one pc for office use.
I took the system out and it was all healthy (in appearence, no dust,dent anything...)
Whatsoever so i bought a new HDD and gathered everything essential but didn't bothered about powering it up before. (it laid there till i got it's parts.)
So i plugged everything in just to find an error.
"Bad Bios Checksum blahblah all typical things.."

Welll, i googled it up and did almost everything.
Now, my problem here is that I burned up a CD with the specified .ROM (after unzipping it and renaming it as my bios displayed)
All it says is "reading file...... file not found..."
I tried with a usb too but it doesnt detect any usb device...
Is there any way around this? any solution? or something else i could do?
I am ready to give more information so please notify me.

Edit #1 : Yes, I've replaced my CMOS Battery and still no good..

You try Uptadet with older Bios for this mobo ?
Or put original CD with drivers * have also orginal bios for recovery

try another battery or be sure no corrosion or something is preventing contact with the battery that may of built up during the time it was setting around -- un hook everything not needed for the board to run [optical drives hard drives mouse ect.. ] and see if it will post into bios [tap deleat key or f2 I think ? ] if it enters bios with out issues the start to hook up the rest one at a time to see if a hardware is is causing the issue [maybe something that's old went bad or the new stuff nor supported by the bios ??]

I would get a pen drive and update the bios if your able to get in to it to do so

Yes, I successfully updated the BIOS once back then.
Can you get me the exact CD contents or anything else that could help me since i have downloaded and tried it from the official site.

I'll do the "other battery" thing.
But apart from that, I am not even shown the BIOS SCREEN or anything so you think that f2 or DEL key thing will work?
Anyways, I'll give it a go once i get to the system.

like I said above remove all that's not needed to boot to bios - for what I read up on this is ti may occure when the computer was not properly shut down before the computer was removed form power --

best I know as long as the bios chip was not corrupt or damaged it should hold the factory '' burned in'' default bios for ever

be sure you use the same battery part number .. Most CMOS batteries are standard CR2032 check your manual

this is why I say remove all unnecessary hardware - clear cmos then start up -- you may of added something that is not checking out from its last known shutdown

You are right.
My problem here is that IT CANNOT READ THE .ROM FILE.
What type of usb would it support?
I have only tried it with CD-ROM and it says cant read the file.
I would like to try it via USB. is there anything that can be done with USB?
Other solutions or anything too appreciated...

I think the usb drive needs to formatted in fat32 ? but that should be all stated in the asus flash steps for your board ?

some times them motherboards dvd's or cd's can be ''funny'' it best to do a fresh download from the asus site only time I ever try to use the dvd is when I cant connect to the internet to get files for the board there maybe something wrong with the file on that disk or the disk its self ??

I think we are nowhere near the problem. I should just get to the local Computer shop and ask them.
It might be a damaged component.
Rest, we did our best.
Also, I discovered many new things 😀
I'll Update it here so if anybody in future finds this problem. It might help him/her.

Here's what i tried (but failed) Might help anyone else.

-I tested it with two other optic drives and had the same problem.
-Burned 3 other dvds (was using a RW before) no good, all wasted
-bought 3 new CMOS batteries tested them each, no good. (weren't wasted lol)
-switched/swapped/replaced my RAM sticks with both the slots (every combination) no good.
-Reformatted my USB drive to FAT32 and it still was same.(Couldn't get it to detect my "USB device")
-and many others i don't remember atm.

see you keep hooking up hardware that's not needed all that's needed to boot to bios is a psu motherboard cpu memory and a way to display [I would use the onboard to start] keyboard preferred ps/2 type over usb type ..

you don't need a hard drive you don't need a optical drive you don't need a vid card you don't need a mouse nothing in the usb ports except the keyboard if you don't have a ps/2 kind

be sure there in a usb2 not any usb3 port

also with the memory you may try it with just one stick in its proper single side slot -- I see it has 2 slots so most times the one farthest away from the cpu

see it maybe one of them hardware's that's throwing things off

also look on page 28 / 29 and insure the jumpers are still correct
