Ok so in event viewer I get a lot of bad block errors in a row:
That was like a year ago when I just setup my computer, but I am just noticing these errors now. I can understand that bad blocks just happen and maybe there is nothing I can do about it, but I want to know what all these errors in a row mean.
Like if I get 5 of these errors happening within 5 seconds does that mean it found 5 bad blocks or does it mean some application was trying to access a bad block 5 times over. You can see that there are 5446 errors total from the screenshot date to today. I haven't really noticed anything weird or any kind of degradation in my hard drive.
Last note, I got a new SSD and installed it and now its getting some of these bad block errors. Like a bunch in a row, so I'm assuming there is something maybe not wrong with the drives, but with what I am doing?
Ty for any help you can provide.
