Hi everyone,

I have recently brought this new monitor and am finding the colours really washed out.
It is IPS but is still not looking good.
Could someone please help me about calibrating this or finding better settings?

Thanks in advance

check the manufacturers site for drivers they can often fix poor colour output.
also check in the monitors menu to make sure you have the correct view mode selected.
it may be set to night view mode when it needs to be on another such as gaming. (sRGB Mode/Scenery Mode/Theater Mode/Standard Mode/Night View Mode/Game Mode) as will all give different levels of image quality.

Thank you for your reply but it's these mode particularly that I'm having trouble with. Scenery has nice colours but is too black, Standard is too washed out, and game mode is too red. I'm not really sure what settings too use!

You can adjust the settings of this particular lcd panel, when You play with colors, gamma, brightness and contrast, but be aware of that that 150 euro iPS panel will not perform well. It will suffer from severe iPS glow and many more. iPS panels up to 500 euro never performs well, I know, because I was using 500-700 euro iPS panels for long time from HP, and when I got Eizo CX271, I've seen the cruel difference, between standart iPS/S-iPS/H-iPS/P-iPS and AH-iPS.
