Bad cpu, good gpu=vr?

Hey guys. So i want to upgrade the gpu on my old rig
Right now I have an APU. I was planning to maybe upgrade to a 1060 or 1070. Is it good enough for vr if my cpu is trash thought? My cpu is 6th gen dual core i3-6100.

From what I have read and seen of VR the answer is no. You are probably better off looking at getting a i5 6500 with the 1060 6gb for cheap side of things. Also what is your memory? I always recommend an 8gb minimum but try to get higher if possible.
