I just traded my Asus Mobo, 6gb of DDR2 1066, and Phenom x3 8750 for a Athlon II x4 630, ASUS M4A785TD-M EVO, and 2GB of DDR3.. Straight up... Was this a good trade? Im lookin in CPU-Z and the ram seems to be pretty slow ram..

A deal is a deal ghnader
Caveat Emptor - buyer beware

of course you wouldnt sell something that doesnt work
but
if you can trade a working part for a better one
then you didnt do anything wrong

A guy sold me my dell optiplex 745 and threw in a decent Pentium 4 tower
with the deal for $75
I sold the Pentium 4 for $50
so my tower cost me $25
it was worth about $150-175 on Craigslist
and 200-300 on Ebay

I did say to him that is a great price for the towers
but
I wasnt going to pay him the real value of the towers

You want a deal where both people are happy with the result
but in the end if you didnt lie or do anything dishonest
then there isnt anything wrong with making a profit

@OP
I think you did great
gave yourself a great upgrade...
its not a great deal but...
your original cpu is slightly weaker, and the 630 isnt a great chip but the motherboard you now have is so much better... more upgrade possibility... ddr3 ram is cheap and you can possibly upgrade to the buldozer at little or no cost other than the cpu...

The other guy is a co worker of mine and he doesnt game much on his Desktop only WoW. I just offered mine with 6GB of Corsair XMS and the above and he didnt even hesistate. We're both happy and I didnt try to cheat anyone off.. If anyone is going to trade there first thought is "Im going to trade this for or towards something better" just human nature. Thanks King Smp.
