bad frames with good hardware

ive looked just about anywhere for a solution to this and i cant seem to find it

but uhh my pc gets extremely low frames for a build like this and ive tried what seems to be everything

ive got a gtx 1080 and an i7 6700k skylake with 2133 16gb of ram

i'm getting fluctuations of fps on fortnite from 30-144 and id like it to stay at 144

not really sure as to why this is happening, pretty sure all my drivers are up to date, its not because of my hard drive, cuz i moved it to my ssd and still had no change in frames



if you think you know whats wrong anything helps ive been dealing with this for around 2 years and its getting to the point where its extremely annoying

Your gpu may be throttling have u used a fan control type software and tried raising the rpm of your fans? also clean them. can use msi after burner or sapphire trixx to increase fan speed

i do have afterburner, so ill try the fam rpm out

not sure if its the temp though cause my temps while idle are 35-40 ish

you can uninstall the drivers then use https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

or my suggested path since iim unfimialer with the above tool is to uninstall the drivers with revo uninstaller free edition then install the most current driver for your card.searchy nvidia drivers find your model and download latest drivers for reinstall
